What happens when a patient with metastatic pancreatic cancer turns to us?
Metastatic pancreatic cancer is a particularly challenging disease with a complex prognosis.
Standard treatments are primarily based on chemotherapy, which alongside its limited effectiveness, often comes with significant side effects.
Currently, we are supporting a patient with metastatic pancreatic cancer,
where standard protocols, namely first and second line treatments,
failed to stop his disease progression 🏥
⚕ What did we do?
Our company’s oncology team conducted a comprehensive mapping
of all therapeutic options available worldwide.
Among the options, we identified a promising clinical trial in Europe
that perfectly matches his case.
This is a trial with an innovative biological targeted therapy that works specifically on molecular pathways in cancer cells 💪
It’s important to note that his treating oncologist strongly supported his participation in the clinical trial and his travel for it and another senior oncologist he consulted for a second opinion also approved!
📊 And the result?
We acted quickly:
- We presented the case to the research team
- We received participation approval
- And by Wednesday the patient is on the plane heading for innovative treatment! ✈
🌟 Why is this important?
This story demonstrates that even when options seem exhausted – it’s always worth searching and checking!
There are many innovative treatments and clinical trials in the world today, and the key is reaching them in time 🔑
