Lymphatic Dissection

A surgical procedure in which the lymph nodes are removed to prevent the spread of the tumor. Surgery can be regional or radical. In regional dissection, some glands are removed, usually those who are close to the tumor. In a radical dissection, all or most or all the lymph nodes in the tumor area are removed.
