Guide for Families Arriving for Medical Treatment in Israel
We are glad you decided to consider medical treatment in Israel with the assistance of our companies. It is important that you understand the regulated process of medical tourism in accordance with the law and the updated Ministry of Interior procedures (November 2025).
The Preparation Process
Medical Treatment Plan
After receiving an explanation of the findings report from TRIAL-IN Pharma, the company will coordinate a consultation for you with an expert oncologist. After the consultation, you will receive a written "treatment plan" personalized for you.
Choosing the Medical Center
EMAS company transfers the treatment plan to the most suitable hospital for your condition (depending on the disease, treatment, mobility, etc.). The choice is made carefully based on our experience.
Price Quote for Treatment
The medical center must provide a detailed price quote in advance, while you are still in your country. You will not be able to arrive in Israel before completing this process.
Initial Payment Deposit
2025 Procedure Update: As a condition for receiving the invitation, you must transfer a payment of at least 50% of the treatment cost, and a sum not less than 30,000 ILS.
The payment confirmation must be sent to EMAS and it will be transferred to the medical center.
Invitation and Entry Permit
After paying the deposit, the medical center will issue an official invitation with which you will enter Israel. The invitation will include the treatment details, diagnosis, and costs.
Who Can Come to Israel?
The health system in Israel is mostly public with limited private facilities.
⚠️ Complex patients with limited functional status may not find suitable treatment options in Israel.
For these patients, we usually refer for treatment in Greece or other EU countries.

Flight and Stay
EMAS can arrange this for you. Important: Do not purchase flight tickets before receiving approval and an official invitation!
Passport and Entry
Passport validity must be at least 6 months beyond the stay period. You must fill out an ETA-IL form before the flight.
Medical Insurance
It is mandatory to purchase travel insurance for the patient and the escort, covering hospitalization and events not related to the specific treatment.
Mandatory Requirements for Escorts (Ministry of Interior Procedure):
- Proof of kinship: Official documents (birth/marriage certificate).
- Affidavit of prohibition of work: Signing before a notary/consul that the purpose of arrival is accompaniment only.
- Commitment to leave: Signing a commitment to leave the country at the end of the treatment.
- CV/Resume: (For those arriving from countries at risk).
Please, do not arrive in Israel or the hospital before completing the entire process described above.
